Album Review: Meek Mill "Dreams Worth More Than Money"

So glad that Meek Mill sophomore album finally dropped "Dreams Worth More Than Money". This album is definitely a more grown up Meek. Being from up north I was a Meek fan from before the world knew who he was. Meek always had a signature sound with a Jahlil Beat formatted track. This album definitely shows better song structure from Meek compared to his debut album.

Of course the first thing that will get criticism is how this album starts off with. It's going to be hard to top his debut album's intro, but this "Lord Knows" is a great introduction of the direction he is going on this album. He definitely gives us great flow, content and deliver on this record with an assist from Tory Lanez on the background vocals with his signature sound.

After "Lord Knows" comes a Swizz Beatz assisted record "Classic" produced by Bangledash. This beat is so unique and eventhough it is not Meek's typical beat this combination worked great. Next is "Jump Out The Face" featuring Future. This record feels forced and seems more like a Future record that would have had a dope 16 from Meek as a feature. This is one of my least favorite records on the album. As we transition into "All Eyes On You" featuring Chris Brown & Nicki Minaj is definitely a formula for a smash. It is very clear this will be the single which is pushed. I love the back and forth from Meek and Nicki on this track.

My absolute favorite records would have to be "R.I.C.O." featuring Drake, "Check", "Bad For You" featuring Nicki Minaj, "Stand Up" and "Coldhearted" featuring Diddy.

This overall is a GREAT solid album from Meek. I was actually surprised that his smash "Monster" was not on this project as well as "B-Boy" featuring Big Sean & A$ap Ferg and "I Don't Know" featuring Paloma Ford. So all that means is that Meek gave us all new music and nothing we were expecting. Have to respect that. I would have to give this album a 4 out of 5 stars.
